Fishermen’s district

If you head towards the 44 hectares from the heart of the village of Cap Ferret, you will find the fishermen’s village, which is made up of a few oyster huts and a handful of dwellings on the edge of the lagoon.
If I may say so, the view from the village is considered by many to be one of the finest in the basin. There are also a number of wine-tasting huts for you to enjoy.
The sandy overhang of the Mimbeau provides a backdrop to the Pilat Dune, where the colours change and are astonishing depending on the orientation and the season, ranging from ochre to pink to golden yellow.
